Bruxelless press conference

Bruxelless press conference Thursday, February 21, 2019

Brussels, February 21st, 2019

We are glad to invite you to the closing press conference of the European project «AlpSib», taking place on Thursday, March 7th, 2019, as of 11.00 at the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region’s offices in Brussels, in Rue du Commerce 49, on the first floor.

Within the project’s framework, thanks to innovative impact investment solutions such as Social Impact Bonds (SIB), public administrations and private investors of the Member States of the Alpine microregion – Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Slovenia – will be able to sign contracts, design and participate in socially oriented projects.

Social agents will, thus, subsidize services of general interest and implement preventive public measures, while private actors can recoup their investments with interests only after the achievement of specific outcomes and results, measured and quantified on the basis of common indicators.

AlpSib facilitates the dissemination of social finance’s tools to endorse projects with particular regard to at-risk social groups: the youth, increasingly facing the challenges of unemployment, and the elderly, increasingly vulnerable and disadvantaged in a fast-paced changing workforce.

The press conference will be preceded by a welcome coffee, from 10.30 to 11.00, and followed by a light lunch, from 12.30 to 14.00.
