In the first half of 2019 Romania assumes, for the first time, the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union and its motto is "Cohesion, a common European value".
This publication presents the activities of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) during the Romanian Presidency, whose programme focuses on the following four pillars:
- a converging Europe;
- a safer Europe;
- Europe, a global actor;
- a Europe of common values.
